After a great start, this week has gone to hell pretty fast. Not so much the poker as everything else. The hing on my computer screen breaks (17" laptop), so I take it to CompUSA and they tell me like 14 days to get it sent out to be fixed. Come home fire up my compact laptop and get it all ready to go for the month and the freaking password doesn't work. Apparently when I had the screen replaced on it the company for some reason changed my password. Finally get that straightened out and then back to CompUSA to kiss my laptop goodbye. Get home and realize that my poker tracker database is on the other laptop......ARGHHH!
Poker
As I have told some of you, I am just not a long term consistent winner. Part of that I think has to do with being a real stubborn hard-head. I think that my way is better. That way has been to play a trapping kind of game, running numbers like 18/6. I am coming to the conclusion that this style just doesn't work. Now it might be a style that I am comfortable with, but not won that gets me the $ in the end. So with all that has gone on with my computer and all I am going to rework my game using the Brystmar's LL Guide. I am literally going to follow every step and watch every video. I will use my blog this month to update my progress but also get your feedback...HELP!

Staying Focused
As I said in an earlier post, as long as I can stay focused things go pretty well. So I am focusing on every decision and playing the players and the table.
Very pleased with the few hands that I have played so far (656). Played 8 short sessions (tables kept breaking up)and here is how I am looking at the end of day 1.
Hands: 656

Great Start
Well, this first day went pretty good. Sustainable....... I doubt it.
Last night as I was getting everything set-up for the July challenge and I thought that I would put some $ on FT and was going to blow off the last $12 that I had on PokerStars. So I sat at a $25nl table and these hands happened

Finished up $64.05. So I guess I am staying at stars.
Getting Started
It seems that everyone is scrambling around looking for folks to match up with....well here I am. Let me tell you a little about what I am up to as far as poker is concerned and then you can decide if it matches up with your style. I am looking for about 6 folks with similar interests that are interested in making this something more than just a 1 month experiment.
I am 47 and a Managment Consultant. Poker is something that passes the time while I am travelling. You might ask, how come you are grinding at such low levels?.......because I suck and just can't seem to get it all pulled together.When I am focused I think I play pretty well. When I'm not focused, it can be ugly.
Right now I am grinding at Stars at the $50NL tables. Usually playing 2 or 3 at a time. Love the game and have every book ever published (or close to it).
